When I suggested this book as our monthly read in the “Booksrealwhenshared” book club, I had to admit that I was really drawn to it because of its setting, and the historical time it portrays. (Beware, this review will contain spoilers) She has to rely on magic in order to survive, but when she finds herself not able to get to the next day she has to take the only route possible: going to the “glittering court”, the château de Versailles, in order to earn money and save her family once and for good. The city is on the verge of revolution, the streets are full of changes… and of magic.Ĭamille is an orphan girl that has to deal with the frail health of her little sister and her volatile brother. ![]()
